About the team
East Coast Building Consultants has been certifying building work across the Northern Rivers since 2004. We are A3 accredited certifiers working out of two offices — Byron Bay and Lismore — covering the coast and hinterland from Tweed Heads down to Grafton and the Clarence Valley.
Our work spans three areas: private certification (Construction Certificates and Complying Development Certificates under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979), dilapidation reporting, and pool barrier inspections under the Swimming Pools Act 1992.
Who we like to hear from
We do not always have a vacancy advertised, but we keep good applications on file and get in touch when something opens up. We are typically interested in hearing from:
- Accredited certifiers registered with the NSW Building Commission, at any accreditation class.
- Building surveyors working toward accreditation, or recently accredited.
- Cadets and graduates studying building surveying or construction management who want regional experience across a genuinely varied caseload.
- Inspectors with pool barrier or dilapidation reporting experience.
Regional certification work tends to be broader than a metropolitan role — you will see everything from bushfire-prone single dwellings to award-winning architect-designed homes, rather than the same project type repeatedly.
