Common Questions About Booking
Q: How quickly can I get a building inspection or certification quote?
We typically respond to enquiries within one business day. For urgent inspections, call us directly on (02) 6680 8705 and we’ll do our best to accommodate your timeline. We’re available for inspections and meetings outside of standard office hours by arrangement.
Q: What information do I need to provide for a certification quote?
For a Construction Certificate or Complying Development Certificate, we’ll need your building plans, engineering plans, and specifications. For a pool fence inspection, we just need the property address. For a dilapidation report, we need the property address and details of the planned nearby construction. Use the form above or email us your plans and we’ll get back to you with a quote.
Q: Do you service my area?
East Coast Building Consultants service the entire Northern Rivers region of NSW, including the council areas of Ballina, Byron, Tweed, Lismore, Richmond Valley, Kyogle, and Clarence Valley. This covers Byron Bay, Ballina, Lennox Head, Lismore, Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads, Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah, Casino, Kyogle, Grafton, and surrounding areas. If you’re unsure, give us a call — we may still be able to help.
Q: What is the cost of a pool fence inspection in Northern NSW?
Pool fence inspection costs depend on the property location and complexity. Contact us for a quote — we provide clear, upfront pricing with no hidden fees. The inspection typically takes 30–60 minutes on site, and if your fence passes, we issue the Pool Safety Certificate on the spot. If repairs are needed, you’ll receive a detailed Notice of Non-Conformity outlining exactly what to fix.
